Here is a selection of 10 from a total series of 32 Colour Variations of two motifs first drawn from the top of Prague Townhall in 1992. The series consists of varied pairs measuring 107.5cm x 122cm and 56.5 x 84.4cm which can be grouped into colour combination sets of four. I was trying to work against and away from my habitual tonal landscape painting and arbitrary composition, by first choosing sets of colour and repeating and varying the brushstrokes and the lines in the motifs. Here are a selection of ten paintings from this grand but incomplete set of cityscapes.
